Matildas vs Sweden: When, where, team news and how to watch in Australia

The Matildas will be out to avoid a fourth-straight defeat when they take on Sweden in a friendly on Wednesday morning (AEST).

Australia have struggled since returning to action this year, falling to Germany, Netherlands and Denmark across their past three matches.

New manager Tony Gustavsson will be hoping a trip to his native Sweden will hand him a crucial first win in charge of the green and gold.

These two sides will face off again in July with the pair drawn in the same group for the Tokyo Olympics.

Sweden, meanwhile, beat Norway 1-0 last Friday and are undefeated across their past 11 matches.

Peter Gerhardsson’s side are currently ranked fifth in the world and beat the Matildas 1-0 the last time they met in 2017.
